Health Visa for visiting the Bahamas

We help residents of other countries with the process of applying for Bahamas Health Visa and proceeding the documentation for entering the Bahamas. Our charge is US $85.00 for this service, which includes the official $40 fee paid to the Bahamas government.
Before departure and upon arrival
Before leaving for The Bahamas:
Apply for Travel Health Visa
All travelers should present a negative COVID RT-PCR (swab) test not older than 5 days before arrival.
- Children up to 10 years old, and commercial airline crew members who stay overnight in the Bahamas, are not obliged to test themselves.
- Holders of tests older than 5 days will be denied entry to the Bahamas.
- According to the Bahamas Health Visa application requirements, the negative PCR test results must be uploaded and presented upon arrival to the Bahamas.
With negative COVID-19 RT-PCR test in possession, visitors are asked to apply for their Travel Health Visa for the Bahamas.
- As of 14 November 2020, all visitors are required to pick a COVID-19 medical coverage for the full length of their Bahamas stay, in addition to the Travel Health Visa application with the insurance cost being part of the total application fee.
- The Travel Health Visa cost depends on the length of stay.
• Please, note that the application process can take up to 24 hours. Therefore, visitors are advised to avoid applying for their Bahamas Travel Medical Visa in the last moment.

While travelling
When Travelling & Upon Arrival:
No more Vacation in Place. As of 1 November 2020, a new Protocol has been introduced with regards to all visitors to the Bahamas:
Face masks are mandatory:
- Obligatory wear a face mask at the airport and seaport terminals, at the security and customs checks, and at the baggage pick up.
Observe the Health Monitor Procedures:
- Rapid Antigen Tests will be taken by any visitor showing COVID-19 symptoms at any time of his or her stay on the islands. Such visitors will be quarantined and will resume their vacation when the tests show negative results.
- If the test is positive, the visitors will have to do a COVID-19 RT-PCT test.
Rapid COVID-19 antigen tests will be taken by all those who decide to stay longer than four nights-five days.
- Please, note that the results from these tests will be sent by phone as a text message within 60 minutes after the test has been taken.
- Visitors who leave the Bahamas before or on their fifth day of their stay, will not be tested.

If the official protocol guidelines are not respected
Rules and Regulations
- Each visitor caught not wearing a mask on his or her face in the public areas will be charged of a fine of $200 or of one month of imprisonment, or of both.
- Visitors not in possession of an approved Bahamas Travel Health Visa or who do not present a negative COVID-19 RT-PCR test will not be allowed to enter the islands.
- Visitors with COVID-19 symptoms will be isolated, tested and put under quarantine if necessary.

While on the island
On the Islands:
Do not forget to put your mask on the face and to respect a distance with others of between 1.5m – 2m in all public areas such as:
- Beach areas: when entering and exiting all beaches. Please, note that while on the beach, wearing masks is not mandatory.
- Public transportation & public buildings: wearing mask on the face is obligatory when in buses and taxies; when queuing; when entering and exiting public buildings, in coffee shops, restaurants, liquor, and grocery stores.
- Before and after sports: Note that while doing sports, masks must be visible upon you.
Respect the guidelines of the Emergency Powers Order:
- Note that each island has the authority to set its own safety guidelines. Before heading to your next destination, check on Bahamas.com/travelupdates.
- Different islands can set their own local requirements and restrictions with regard the working hours of public establishments, potential confinement and curfew.
Do respect the physical distance recommendations & wash your hands with soap or sanitizer for at least 20 seconds.
